This past summer I took up a new hobby - hand lettering and modern calligraphy. I’m mostly self taught and have greatly enjoyed practicing - especially with my monogram & rap lyrics. (I’m not sure why but writing rap lyrics in calligraphy really cracks me up).
One of my friends bravely allowed me to address her wedding invitations & create all of her placecards. I had a blast! Her wedding is this weekend and I can’t wait to see the final product.
I’ve been meeting with a therapist since Louise passed and we have talked about the importance of self-care while journeying through grief. Hand-lettering allows me to be creative, challenge myself and it’s something I greatly enjoy doing and want to do more of!
Since all the work from her wedding is done and I enjoyed it so much I am officially going to start hand-lettering for other weddings, showers, save the dates, holiday cards and more! If you have an event coming up that requires lettering please reach out through my contact form.
Turn around time is 2-4 weeks. Local clients in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs can pick up or have their items mailed and all n0n-local clients will have items sent via priority mail.
