I have mad respect for all of you with your fall decor out already. Since both my sister and I have August birthdays early September has always felt more like Indian Summer to me. Plus living in Chicago we don’t get many months of nice weather so I try to hang onto #SummertimeChi as long as possible!

So in an attempt to ease my home decor into fall I’m bringing out some rustic & neutral pieces before diving head first into pumpkins and all things orange.

I’m loving this barn wood box I got from The Barnwood Shack when I was in Clinton last weekend! She is incredibly talented and up cycles barn wood into beautiful & unique pieces.  And who doesn’t love supporting local artisans?!

I added some mason jars & a bit of greenery left over from our wedding decor. I love that the piece is simple but still makes a statement. Plus it’s easy to pull off when we are eating, playing board games or entertaining!
